Classic Matchbox Toys
The following Classic Matchbox Toys are all at least 50 years old, Many are nearly 60 years old.
Back in the 1950's and 1960's these toys were usually given to
young children, mainly boys.
Those children usually played with their toys. They did not take the toy with the original box
and lock them away as an investment for later financial gain.
They seldom even kept the box
that the toy came in.
Speaking of boxes, on an unnamed auction site, many of these Matchbox toys show the usual signs
of age and have the scratches and defects expected of a toy that has been played with. However,
the box looks "Brand New", probably because it is brand new. There are companies in Asia that
reproduce these boxes along with other boxes of classic toys.
Even decals are being reproduced to make the toy seem to be in better condition than it actually is,
and thus allowing the asking price to be much higher than the toy is actually worth.
All of the following Matchbox Toys are going to have various defects,
usually minor scratches. .... and No fake decals have been applied nor are any Boxes included.

Hess Full-Size Toys
Unless otherwise noted, the following Full-Size Hess Toys are New, Never-Used, or Played With.
They were just taken out of their package once for testing and
then returned to the package and
placed in storage for years.
The uninstalled batteries and any internal pre-installed batteries were removed to safeguard
against battery leakage.
Full-Size Toys usually have both "Sound" and "Lighting" effects.
All of the Hess Toys include the Original Display Box and
Instructions, some
include the original vinyl "shopping bag" that was given with purchase.
Any toy that originally included pre-installed "coin" batteries have had brand-new batteries
installed before shipping. Main Batteries, usually one D battery or 2 C batteries are not included.

The following Miniature Hess Toys are New, Never-Used, or Played With.
